In the interviews I conducted for this assignment, I found
out some really awesome marketing ideas from each individual. I also found that
getting general and honest feedback is the most helpful one can receive. I
enjoyed hearing everyone’s feedback regarding if they would test or even buy
the product discussed. It was a really cool line up of interviews this round
that gave me more insight to my own thoughts and got me thinking of other
aspects that I had not seen before conducting said interviews.

Hi Isabella,
ReplyDeleteYou did an excellent job on your interviews and determining where the people stand in relation to the boundary. Initially I thought your idea would appeal to a very narrow range of people, however after listening to the interviews, driver distraction is so prevalent that the alert system would benefit a much larger group. So many vehicles have powerful sound systems that it can be impossible to hear horns and sirens.
Isabella,
ReplyDeleteYou did a really great job with all of your interviews. I know it's hard to find people who may not necessarily give you the answers you are looking for, but nonetheless you asked great questions and gathered some really helpful info to tweak your opportunity and product idea. I know your main intended audience is individuals who are hearing impaired, but after hearing the interviews and drawing from own experience I know there are so many others who could benefit from this device as well. Personally, I like to listen to my music pretty loud, and even though I am focused while driving, sometimes I don't notice an emergency vehicle coming until it is right near me. I think steering wheel vibration would be helpful to just give that extra physical alert to drivers, hearing impaired or not. Great job!
Hey Isabella, you did a really good job on all your interviews. You asked some really good questions and you were able get people to give really good responses. I had a hard time getting people to really open up especially since they had my unmet need. I personally know a lot of people who listen to head phones while driving. Even though this can be incredibly dangerous people still do it. I agree with Riley, that a vibrating steering wheel would be so helpful even for people who are not hearing impaired.
ReplyDeleteHi Isabella. Great insight on believing that general and honest feedback is the most helpful at this stage in the game, and it gets you thinking in different directions than your original vision. I had very similar experiences during this round of interviews and it opened the door up to a more versatile product. Your vibrating steering wheel is a great concept and has a wide range of target customers. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteIsabella,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post. You did a really good job. Your questions were well thought out, and really pulled some good responses from the people you interviewed. I think that you have a good idea, and the opportunity is definitely there. I am very curious to see where this product can go upon further development. The vibrating steering wheel can definitely reach out to a big market. Overall, good job!
Hi Isabella - great job gathering feedback from those who you interviewed. I think they helped you realize how impactful the device can be on not just the hearing impaired but drivers who might constantly be distracted. I know a lot of people who are always talking on the phone while driving and even though they think they are paying attention, they really aren't. I think this device will be very beneficial for multiple users.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! I really appreciate the comments and feedback. It made my day!
